Program Geo Circle: Pemanfaatan Energi Panas Bumi untuk Ekonomi Sirkular
Abstract
Transisi energi mendorong perusahaan untuk mengembangkan praktik Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) yang tidak hanya berorientasi pada kepatuhan, tetapi juga pada penciptaan nilai bersama. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dampak Program Geo Circle (Geothermal Energy and Filler for Circular Economy) yang dikembangkan PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy dalam mendukung penerapan ekonomi sirkular berbasis energi panas bumi. Program ini memanfaatkan energi panas bumi dan residu operasional pembangkit sebagai sumber daya untuk mendukung sistem pertanian adaptif dan pemberdayaan masyarakat di wilayah operasional. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif melalui analisis implementasi program yang didukung oleh data lingkungan, sosial, dan kelembagaan, termasuk kajian Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Program Geo Circle mampu mengurangi beban lingkungan melalui pemanfaatan kembali residu operasional, meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian, memperkuat kapasitas ekonomi masyarakat, serta mendorong kolaborasi multipihak yang mendukung keberlanjutan program. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi inovasi teknologi, ekonomi sirkular, dan pemberdayaan masyarakat dapat memperkuat implementasi ESG sekaligus mendukung transisi energi yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan. Program Geo Circle berpotensi menjadi model replikasi bagi pengembangan masyarakat di wilayah pemanfaatan energi terbarukan.
